Craftsmen Counseling

You Don't Need Therapy

Therapy has become an overused and generalized word. The familiarity of the term has caused people to become desensitized to its many benefits. Although therapy is an invaluable process, it can be painful, frightening, and difficult to begin the journey. Therapy should be seen as a puzzle. One that you bring to each session and that you casually dump on the floor. It is here that the puzzle begins to come together. The therapist and the client work together to turn pieces of the puzzle over, separate the pieces into categories, start to align the border, and eventually begin connecting pieces together. It is this purpose, direction, and motivation found within the therapeutic journey that increases knowledge, realigns misguided perceptions, and ultimately inspires change.
